Outline

Duration: 45-60 mins (*Presentation can be made longer or shorter depending on conference needs

Introduction. Why this talk?

Each slide contains a job title and actual quotes from job descriptions for Scrum Masters. I’ll discuss my take on the true meaning behind the things these companies are asking for. Examples will include combined roles, incorrect expectations, wrong terminology, less-than-market pay rates, combining scrum and waterfall practices.

Next I’ll call on the audience to discuss anything they’ve seen that’s a good or bad example. Next, we’ll discuss what the audience thinks would make for a good job description.

I’ll share my ideal job description for the role of Scrum Master.
